2004 Miken Freak 98
2004 Miken Freak 98

In order to be ASA certified a bat can not propel a ball faster then 98 mph. The Freak 98 pushes the limit upto 98 mph level with no excuses and no remorse. Thanks to E-Flex technology, Freal 98 gennerates maximumflex through the barrel ensuring the best performancewhen the ball meets the bat. It uniquely combines strenghthand flexibility and delivers to hitters both amassive sweet spot and remarkable durability. If you feel the need for speed Get your hands on a Freak 98!

Comments From GenXfactor:

I finally let this bat go. I had it for 2 1/2 seasons and it was a good bat; slight end cap movement after 500+ cuts. This was my primary bat for at least one season, but I have never understood the love affair that most softball players have with the Miken Freak 98. This bat has decent pop and ok distance, but the Freak 98 is not a magic wand...I had just as much success with single wall and half/half bats as I had with the Miken Freak 98. If you are able to get one at a decent price, GO FOR IT...HOWEVER, DO NOT BREAK THE BANK TO BUY A MIKEN FREAK 98. Good bat for line-drives; however you are not going to become a home run hitter with the Miken Freak 98.
