2001 Miken VelocitE Balanced
Earlier Mikens included an aluminum frame under the composite material; the Velocit-E has no aluminum inside. This design allows for maximum flex at bat/ball impact, regardless of the COR (hardness) of the ball. Like previous models, it is completely dent resistant. The new “High-Density/Low-Volume” urethane end load is designed to expand the sweet spot: it is resilient enough to prevent any loss of energy through the top of the barrel on contact, and it is dense enough to put a maximum of weight into a minimum amount of space at the end of the barrel where it won’t interfere with the hitting area.
