New NSA By-Laws

Highlights:
All teams that have the mandatory move-up requirement will have this rule enforced to all of the players on that roster.
They're dropping the D&E Super World 2-2 (or better) mandatory move up requirement and making it top 50%.
$25/team awarded to State Champions.
No berth pass downs for Super berths earned at World Series.

I think that's basically what I read.

I think it is at the convention, but not 100% sure.

Its good to see NSA is going to be dying all over the country and not just here in Washington State!! Thank you NSA!!

Everybody on the roster has to move up with no appeal that is just stupid. There are always going to be those guys on the roster that should be able to move down individually because they are not any better then an E player.

no thats not right--only players that are on the winning team at any of the supers have to play the next letter up--if your team is a man. move up no appeal then 4 of your guys can play on 1 team at the level you were playing or you can move up to the next level as a team--you read that wrong

E only all the players on a Mandatory Move up team will have the entire roster moved up to D for one season.

Plus the Super World Champions in C,D and E

Exactly E where there are guys that are playing because their buddies put the team together and they really should be playing rec. Most D and up teams do not carry guys that are not going to help them.

I fight like hell to keep NSA around here and it does not seem like NSA wants to stay. I just do not understand why associations want to become more unuser friendly

Umm, it's "E" ball.

If a team does good enough to EARN a bump to "D", why not move up as a team?

Remember, NSA does a GREAT job of keeping teams from moving down, so the top "D" teams each year are getting moved to "C", so any team that does EARN their move up should be just fine.

Also, if it is "buddies" that were playing together at "E" and that wanted to stay together in "E", why not just stay with "buddies" and play "D"?

Why are you guys bitching about E? First you all bitch about all the sandbagging in E...now that they force teams up, some with an appeal, some without one, u all still bitch. Some people arent going to move up themselves, so now they get a helping hand.

I wish other sanctions (USSSA in MD) would do something to stop people from sandbagging. I saw a "e" coed team in Maryland with 2 "C" guys, 1 "D" guy and 4 "D" girls on their roster. The girls finish in the top ten at the "D" womens worlds.

in all honesty D is not much more competitive than E

I have played a fair share against teams from both classes, and there is little difference, except now the sandbaggers in 'D' are really 'C' players whereas you dealt with 'D' players in 'E'

as for teams and competition, there is little difference overall and I think this is a great move in attempts to keep things more even across the nation.... at least when you get to the national level

thing is after a couple seasons with this rule it will snuff out the vast majority of players and especially teams that do their best to drop down when we all know they shouldnt

Basically NSA is putting the power back in their hands and not that of crafty players that slick through the cracks...
