ISA 10 Man Modified

ISA/Massachusetts would like to have several 10 man tournaments in the
2010 season:
One....... Earlybird (mid to late April)

One in June

A State Tournament in July

And a "World Series" in August (21-22?)

All would be a four game guarantee
Entry fee around $350 to $400

At this stage it's only an idea and we are seeking
your unput on the topic....any and all ideas are
welcome.
We also are looking for people to host
some of these events.

You may contact me at mass-softballcentral@comcast.net
or call 508.450.0623

Thanks

Tommy

10 Man

10 Man as in no slingshot? If this is the case, I think you might get some interest. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with slingshot, but have seen tournaments for actual 10 man pitching almost all gone, whereas 10 years ago, there were a ton. I think if the 10 man game was enforced appropriately (no A players allowed) you could have a really nice bunch of tourneys. I know Albany, NY and Keene Nh used to have some really good tourneys with 10 Man pitching rules.

Keene, NH

I play in the Keene, NH Men's League and we are also trying to bring back what used to be one of the largest, best, and most respected tournaments around, The Walt Sturnevant Tournament. We used to have 30-50 teams every year from all over the country. As of last year we couldnt even have an upper division. I am trying my hardest to get the best modified teams from all over the Northeast to come and play in a good, competitive tournament. The tentative dates for the tourney are the 2nd weekend in May. It will be either 9-man or 10-man depending on how many teams we get. 4 fields, night games, raffles, food, etc...we are looking for teams for the upper division, if your interested you can contact me at rrussell@powerssmithappraisal.com...

We would like to do a cash tourney to the winner for the upper division(which is my focus). If we can get the teams to come and compete there shouldnt be any problem. 10 or more teams would be a good start.

Sure The upper division will be made up of modified bowling, not fastpitch...same pitching you see in Canaan,VT tourney, Bow Tourney, NASF Drifton,PA, etc...The upper division will be comprised of good quality teams...The Mug, Granite State Bulldogs, J.A. Jubb, Delta Dental, Shawno's, Superflash, Queen's Express, 29ers, something like these teams....

The lower division will be mostly all greater keene men's league teams...they play in our C&D divisions in league play and would not be able to compete at the higher level.
