Picture this: take the existing pitcher's plate and draw 2 lines straight back that go 6 feet from the front of the pitcher's plate. That'll get you a 2' wide by 6' deep box. Now pretend that box is actually a big-*** pitcher's plate, and follow all of the other pitching rules that apply to ASA slow pitch softball (at least one foot on the pitcher's plate, only one step forward, backward or to the side, come to a complete stop for 1 second, etc.).

That's it in a nutshell. Not complicated.

i understand the box as we use it for ss-usa,just thought that ASsA didn't have it for seniors as we are not allowed to use senior bats and not steal.thought we did everything by ASsA rules otherwise.i do know we didn't use it for the 40+ in 08.oh well.

Yeah, ASA instituted that rule for the seniors last year. I definitely like it, because it gives the guys a better chance at reacting to the ball.

The bats are a totally different issue, though.
